Personal Training at Eldridge Rec & Fitness offers a variety of packages to suit your needs. All Personal Trainers are current in their Nationally Recognized Certifications and offer many styles of training.  Trainers are friendly and experienced and are able to help you find your style of training. All ages are welcomed and encouraged to take part in personal training along with nutrition and wellness coaching. Benefits include understanding fitness and overall health with emphasis on nutrition, resistance, weight loss, balance, stretching and proper techniques.  Knowing how to train your body properly and to what frequency is the key to keeping healthy and fit. Trainers can push you to your limits with a rip roaring workout or a lower-key toning and cardio set.  Whatever your style, we offer it!

Buddy Up Small Group Training

These small group training sessions are designed for those that want either: an edge on sports, to explore and enhance athletic abilities, to unlock hidden potential, to lose weight or gain muscle, and or to gain an overall proper training technique. It's all packaged with proper nutrition guides to fuel your body.  Grab your own friends or join another small group.

6 group sessions run between $50 - $100 depending on number in group

4 - 6 per small group: groups are organized according to fitness levels

Meet the Trainers

Sarah Hansel
Sarah was raised in Palm Bay, Florida where she grew up playing many outdoor sports.  Her love for athletics followed her to college where she was a NCAA Cheerleader.  After graduating with a BA in Organizational /Interpersonal Communications she worked in the multimedia and marketing field while coaching sports in high schools for over a decade.  She also became a certified group fitness instructor and followed that by becoming an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Specialist and Certified Nutrition Adviser.  She is also currently certified in Yoga & Aqua Instruction, CPR/AED. She loves to train and coach all ages using 5 avenues of health: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social.  

Dan Wassell

Dan is a Certified Personal Trainer through AFAA. He enjoys physical fitness and helping others. Born and raised in the Quad Cities he grew up playing basketball, racing bicycles (BMX), and lifting weights. He has previously coached competitive softball and has been coaching youth basketball for over 15 years. As a personal trainer he is here to assist you in your general workouts and even sport workouts. Let him know how he can meet your exercise needs.
